Time for the monthly design lunch!

At MARELD we host something we call design lunch. It means that one of us – in team MARELD – sets up a site visit, arranges a sketching session or holds a presentation of a topic that is currently in focus for us, while eating lunch together. The design lunch is a way for us to inspire each other and share our knowledge, catch up and hang out.

This month, Josefine presented her master thesis “Limited playground, limited play?”, which is about how children’s playground activities are affected by the size of the playground. One of the conclusions, that were of extra interest, was that “quality doesn’t make up for loss of quantity”. A pre-school yards area (quantity) is a prerequisite to give room for it content (quality). A trending topic in an ever more urbanized city.
